The last few years, I have worked with both, young and old customers. As a teacher and as live-in caregiver. The latter has been a natural development. As a teenager, my widowed grandmother needed someone to live with her. It was a great symbiosis. as we complemented each other nicely. Good conversation, a harmonious household and a friendly way of behaving led to me responding to her needs. Nearly blind, she was craving to have someone read to her. Then I was drafted and chose civilian service, at a hospital and then a nursing home. Thorough training, but n o t the UK certification one is asked for. NV Something Level 2 etc. In addition, I have worked with a quadriplegic millionaire in his 30s, driving his stretch limo and RV as I have a license for lorries, too. My most recent care job was for a stroke victim with mental issues, sporadic incontinence and in danger of falling. The end of January would be a good time for me to start.
