Looking after the elderly became an integral part of my life when both of my parents fell ill, and as their only child I had a privilege to help them go through difficult times providing all care they needed. This experience and then their death after 5 years of struggle gave me a chance to look at the people of older age and their life from a different perspective. For the past two years I've been working as a care-assistant in a nursing home in England looking after fifty residents at a different age with different conditions /dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, people with brain damage, cancer, motor-neuron disease, bedbound/ and needing complex care.
