As you will see from my CV, I successfully completed a 2-year course, training as a Nurse and Social Care Assistant in Germany, in 2018. Following this qualification, I worked in different care homes and hospitals in Germany. This soon coincided with Covid lockdown, which presented additional challenges. Working as a care assistant gives me the chance to help people with their day-to-day activities and maintain as much independence as possible. I enjoy adding some quality to their life by being cheerful and professional at the same time. During lockdown it also allowed me to be a valuable contact person for those who were unable to have other visitors during that time. In the three years I worked in Germany I learnt that I work well under pressure and am able to follow tight deadlines whilst remaining personable and well-organised with my clients and patients. I also enjoyed team work in hospital environments. ...

I'm a compassionate, patient woman in her early forties who loves to cook, read and share stories. Originally hailing from the West Midlands, but having been in London for nearly twenty years, I now have two young children who help me maintain a youthful energy and a love of whimsy. I was very close to my late Grandmother and cared for her in her later years. I've worked in the arts (film and theatre) since I left University twenty years ago, but having relocated to the Dorset countryside, I'm now looking to focus my energy on those who need some genuine care and companionship, as my dear Grandmother did.
