I cared for my disabled partner who had chronic heart disease emphysema and was also blind in left eye in a unpaid live in position for over 8 years I helped with every day tasks bathing dressing cooking shopping housework monitoring and ordering of medication arranging and attending appointments and social gatherings with the aid of a wheelchair and or walking stick I also offered practical/emotional support for my mother for over 10 years to help care for my father who had Parkinson's disease on a regular basis I also cared for my other disabled partner for 5 years in a unpaid live in position who his Hiv Positive and currently has Throat Cancer I helped with every day tasks bathing dressing cooking shopping housework monitoring and ordering of medication arranging and attending appointments and social gatherings with the aid of a wheelchair and or walking stick I have a positive and caring attitude to life has a whole with a lot of transferable skills and knowledge I am a fast learner and open to learn new or expand on my existing skills I am a excellent timekeeper hardworking reliable honest good listener and adaptable and am able to prioritise tasks and motivate myself and others I also work well has part of a team or on my own initiative I currently have no qualification within the care sector After serving over 16 years on and off within the security industry I now want to return to a live in caring role on a permanent full time basis My English language level is Advanced I have a clean Full U.K License which I have held for over 18 years ...

After qualifying from University in 2001 I taught in a primary and secondary school in Budapest, Hungary. In 2003 I moved to the United Kingdom to be a live in carer helping disabled people on a voluntary basis. I got to like this kind of work very much and ever since then I mostly have done care work and also taken part in several moving & handling trainings and first aid courses and gained a lot of experience, skills and abilities. In the past 15 years I also have tried myself in different fields working in the business sector for two shorter periods but I realized I prefer the care industry, it is what I like to do. I have got all the qualities and all the documents that make a good carer. Ideally I work for a steady client who I can help as a live-in carer on a two weeks on - two weeks off basis.
