My name is Vanessa I am 33 years old, I currently live with my parents. I am currently employed with Everycare, I have also worked for Blue bird care as a live in care assistant living with my clients has shown me another side to care which I truly enjoy. I have also worked at Bupa Care home in Sidcup where I worked in the dementia unit. I assisted residents with their personal care, assisted at meal times and persuaded residents to take part in activities. I enjoy attending to the needs and wants of vulnerable elderly. I believe I can give more care to one individual or a couple as he/she would have my 100% attention and time. I am hard working punctual and I know I go over and beyond to satisfy my residents. I strongly believe in the idea of caring for someone in their own home. It allows me to build a meaningful and rewarding one to one relationship with those in need of my care and to build the trust necessary for a successful care relationship. Doing live in care work is rewarding for me in the sense that it allows me to see the tangible, positive difference I am making in someone’s life and also helps me better understand the likes and dislikes of the person I am caring for, It allows me to focus on the “small Stuff” that really matters to those who need my support.
