I am a self-motivated, fit and caring person with strong interpersonal skills developed over the last decade working in social care and in the community and for private clients . I am passionate about providing care in a truly bespoke manner that suits the individual. As an ambulance crew member I used my decision making skills to provide care and solve problems under stress. Then I honed my skills as a care practitioner in the community followed by a private contract My employment as a Carer/Butler/Nurse enabled me to utilise a wide range of abilities, I use my people skills employing tact, diplomacy and empathy. In this very personal capacity I am 100% discreet. I have realised , that in many respects this role combined much of my personal experience and as a personal carer has stood me in good stead with specialised care skills. This list is not exhaustive but includes • Day-to-day client interaction • Being available to assist the client at night • Administration of medications and treatments in accordance with the existing care plan/developing • Vital signs checking • Diet supervision and monitoring • Providing or assisting the client with self-care • Providing a range of motion exercises • If bed-ridden, an assertive plan to prevent bedsores, contractures and muscle wasting • Liaising with doctors and the reporting and recording in a daily log and MARS Charts and informing client’s family • Maintain optimum health and well-being of the patient • Peg and Stoma and experience of EOL care • Advanced clinical care Including Oxygen administration Stoma and Peg Skin Care Management Bed Care Hoisting • Most importantly I enjoy this work very much and I think that is apparent in my manner. I am very flexible and approachable I have an empathic style and have high personal standards in appearance . I possess excellent administrative and household skills. I am pleased to be able to offer excellent and current references and my working rota is client driven. I believe in upholding the values and culture of the client and family, being reactive and able to to adjust to a rapidly changing care landscape.
