I live in Scotland, looking for work in London area, a live in rota based position , I have family living in London and surrounding areas, I am currently a social care assistant in the community working for the council, I work with people with MS, Dementia, Parkinson’s Elderly an many more , my daily tasks cover medication management, full personal care, moving & handling, Catheter care, have done peg feeding but I would need training for that as that was a long time ago. hi am a carer ,have worked in various capacities ,brendoncare ,abbeyfield. privately / aspects of dementia huge cv refs Sue has been a Carer for my husband Derek for more than 10 years. Derek had Parkinson’s disease and dementia and Sue was very capable of dealing with all situations which arose. She always arrived with a smile on her face and a was able to relate to him using, kind, compassionate and relevant communication even when he was no longer able to respond verbally. Sue prepared nutritious and appropriate meals for him when necessary and was very adept at helping him to eat ensuring that food was easily digestible and sufficiently cut up/ mashed/ puréed as required. There were several medications to be given including the use of a nebuliser and Sue had no difficulty administering his tablets and nebuliser fluids.
