I have been working in the Care sector for the last 31years. During those years < I worked in Nursing and care homes working with young adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism, I have worked with older people some with a wide range of issues, such as, Dementia, physical disabilities, Mental Health issues, etc. I have also have worked in Hospitals, both on Medical and Surgery ward. For the last 8 years I have worked as a Live-In Carer. I hold an NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care. I also have Administration, Support Work and Management Skills, acquired during my years working with homeless men/women in a hostels. I therefore have an understand of accountability and using initiative. I am a responsible hardworking adult with a passion to making a difference to someone's life. After graduating with a Law degree in 2016, I am proud to have 7 accredited years working in care. I have enjoyed looking after many singles and couples. Previous experience in Peg Feeding, Catheter Care, Dementia and Stroke. Competent with using hoists. Moving and Handling Certificate up to date. Able to carry out ALL aspects of the role from personal care, meal preparation, liaising with all those involved in care (GPS, nurses and family). Enjoys looking after pets especially cats and dogs. Full Driving license with own car . Able to accompany to events and appointments etc ...
