My name is Kimberley, I have over 13 years experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector. My experience includes elderly care and learning disabilities. I am trained to Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care, as well as achieving other relevant work related courses. They include -: Autism, Epilepsy, Administering Medication and Manual Handling, to name a few. I consider myself to be a positive person with a good sense of humour. I am empathetic and patient, hard working and competent. Lone working for a long length of time, supporting 8 adults means I work well under pressure and I am able to use my initiative. I am currently studying towards a Degree in Psychology with Counselling via distance learning. I am looking for care packages which will enable me to do what I love and support people to live their lives the best way possible, whilst also giving myself the work - life balance I require to complete my studies. My name is Michele and I live in Brittany. I work long placements in France and have long stints off. During this time I'd like to be a travel companion for anyone needing a carer for holidays and even festivals!! We all need down time away from our 4 walls! I can come to the UK to meet and /or collect you. Also work on the Channel Islands as this is only 3 hours away from home. I have a passion for animals so if you have some, it's a big, yeahh from me ! I did a Pcsc,, preliminary certificate in social care, before nvq's existed !!! I Moved to France 18 years ago with my family.. After renovating our house, setting up and running a gite business for 8 years I worked for the local commune for 4 years in the school restaurant preparing fresh food. I was in charge of preparing the 250 starters from scratch with fresh ingredients, and new ideas. I worked also part time at both of the schools in our town for four years teaching English. I would like more from my work now. I'd like to feel I was making a difference to somebody's life, someone with whom I can converse and help to continue their life to the full. I love to explore, travel, walk, talk, shop, drive, and to read when I have the time. I'm easy going and get on with people no matter of age or creed, both are irrelevant when it comes to needing a bit of a lift in life or just a friendly presence, we all need that at times. Since writing my profile I have worked as a home help and aide soigniant (Personal carer), and also as a live in paliative carer.
