Hello, my name is Allison. I have been a carer now for 6 yrs in domiciliary and high dependancy nursing home. I studied and gained my diplomas 2 & 3 in health and social care. Although I am not a driver I am willing to work wherever. My first live-in placement was with a lovely lady, palliative care /end of life. I was very grateful for the compliment received by family members during my time on that placement. I have since worked with a gentleman with Parkinson's and then moved onto a complex mental health/ Alzheimer's (couple). I have worked with a stroke patient, plus several months with a gentleman having late stage semantic dementia. I have an excellent sense of humour and generally get on well with everyone.
