I am 60 years old female and have worked in care and support for many years with different client groups, 10 years ago I decided to run my own business and have a change. But I missed working in care. For several years I worked as a support worker, for older adults with mental health and learning differences. I won a 'support worker of the year' award for the south of England. I devised the induction training package for new starters(staff) and settlement programme for new clients ( I found this particularly rewarding) I have experience with moving and handling, medication, first aid and other relevent courses but most certificates expired. I have nvq 1 and 2 in health and social care. I have level 2 food hygiene cert. I had a DBS check last year. I can drive and have clean licence.
