Born in South Africa, I have lived in the UK since 1998. For most of my early career I worked in the radio broadcasting industry both in South Africa and then for the BBC in London. I am a friendly, warm & caring person, fairly quietly spoken and very patient. I have a cheerful disposition and am definitely not bossy. I have been working as a Live-in Carer in the UK since April 2013. I have experience of helping Clients with a wide variety of needs, including Dementia, Parkinson's, chronic depression, anxiety and mobility problems. I am a driver with a clean UK Driving licence. I do not have my own car in the UK, but am happy to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. I enjoy trying new recipes. Although vegetarian myself, I have no problem cooking meat for others and can cook most traditional English meals. I have kept my training up to date with annual update and refresher training. I have a current, updated transferable DBS. ...
