I am looking forbl care positions around the North of Scotland, including Highlands and Islands. I'm a 51 years old Portuguese woman that has been living in Brighton for the last 10 years. During this time I had a small dog walking company but the pandemic along with the fact that my daughter turned 18 and is starting Uni made me rethink my work life and try something new. So for the last year I'm part of a team of carers/pa for a quadriplegic young person. I love what I'm doing and therefore looking for more work in this field. In the past I've travelled a lot and lived abroad most of my life. My work experience ranges from managing cinemas in Mozambique, to having made property investments in Brazil. I've also cared for one year on a full time basis for my grandmother who suffered from dementia and was bedridden. I think I'm naturally and by education a caring and empathic person who despite the age is energetic and hard working. ...

I’m very passionate about caring for people in their own homes and have more than 25 yrs experience in most aspects of care. I’m compassionate,caring,trustworthy bubbly. I’ve been a self employed carer now for two years and can provide references from the families of previous clients. I love to cook home made meals,like roast dinners and love baking cakes( but they don’t always turn out as I’d like them too). I always have a positive attitude and like to look on the bright side of life. I love travelling and photography also. I’m a mother of two boys whom are now adults. I live in Bristol but am happy to travel anywhere. I’ve supported clients with travelling (a cruise last year) and I’m very hard working and flexible. I have a great understanding of Dementia and I’m very patient. If you choose me as your personal assistant to care for you you won’t be disappointed with the quality of care I give.
