I am a dedicated, hardworking, and empathic individual. I began working as a live in carer during the pandemic. Since then, I have supported a variety of conditions, including: dementia, stroke rehabilitation, incontinence, insomnia, cerebral palsy, companionship. As a carer, I listen and engage with the client, finding similarities, and (where possible)humour in life. I have been described as chatty and bubbly. I have also worked as a support worker, for young people with complex learning disabilities, at a respite centre. Some conditions I supported were: epilepsy, OCD, autism, hunters disease, and impaired vision. I have undergone multiple trainings, including (but not limited to): dementia awareness, first aid, autism awareness, data protection, and child and adult safeguarding.
