I am an honest, dedicated and committed individual who believes in giving my best in every assigned task. I have over one year and five months' experience in supported living, care homes and specialist reablement centers in the UK. Though my background has been in the business world, i have always informally offered care to persons in need, outstanding one being to my grandfather, who being diabetic, became partially blind and a leg amputee. I provided him with warm companionship and care; personal care, food preparation, insulin injections and pre, during and post hospital care until his demise in 2007 I am compassionate and emphatic and will always go out of my way to ensure the comfort and dignity of an individual in need. My nature saw me empathize with my father's stepbrother where i voluntarily donate my kidney to save his life in 2018. I am flexible and ready to work in any part of the country. ...

In my time of working as a support worker I have been able to gain some insight on the lives of those who live with disabilities. I’ve been able to learn about some of the inequalities they face daily and the things that can be done to reduce them. This has broadened my understanding and has made me aware of the different lives people lead. I now feel strongly about advocating and caring for those who struggle to do it for themselves more than I did before. I would like to continue giving support to vulnerable people, whilst creating great professional bonds with them and feel this is the right role for me to do so. ...
