I am diligent, motivated and caring individual, who has gained invaluable experience in a variety of care settings, Residential, Domiciliary and PA/ Live in care. I have great organisational skills, communicate very well and I am honest. The majority of my experience, is in Elderly care, which I found most rewarding, as I enabled the clients to maintain their dignity , through personalised choices as individuals. And continue their independence through effective communication and care planning. I also had the honour of being a PA to a young gentleman with cystic fibrosis and cerebral palsy, who had very limited movement. However, with great planning and with the clients impressive communication and social skills, was able to live fulfilling, active and engaging quality of life. Until recently I was a live in PA to a 50 year gentleman for 2 years who had limited communication, mobility and left arm movement and more recently acquired early on set dementia. I assisted with his personal care and dressing etc as well as household chores and home cooking to a reasonable high standard. All his Hospital, GP, Optical, FES, Dental etc I accompanied by driving his own vehicle, and recorded the outcomes and informed family accordingly. Medication was ordered on a regular cycle and administered at stipulated times. We also attended coffee shops, food shopping, cinema, the gym, restaurants etc together quite frequently as he thoroughly enjoyed being active and socialising. ...
