My name is Ilu and I have 3 years experience in both live-in/live-out care. I have cared for people with spinal cord injuries, with dementia, as well with the elderly recovering from a stroke, and with other physical injuries. In early 2020 I had acquired full training with Active Care agency where I learnt all the necessary moving/handling principles, safety measures, ethics of working as a PA, etc and I have been actively working since then. For the last full year I have lived full-time with an elderly couple, both with dementia, now this chapter ended and I'm looking for new opportunities :) I'm a quiet and responsible person with love for nature and holistic living/health. Meditation plays a big part of my life and it's actually this practice that inspired me to start working as a PA. I see how rewarding and beautiful this way of helping others is and how much it enriches my life- as well lives of people that I care for. I'm also a professional acupressure/shiatsu massage therapist and this is how I love to work with people when I'm not working as a PA :) I understand and appreciate that each person is different and has their own individual needs and ways of doing things. I'm patient and I adapt and learn very quickly. I always love to make sure that the atmosphere is joyful and peaceful, and the space tidy and welcoming :) I also love gardening, going for walks and I'm always open just to do little jobs that arise spontaneously. ...
