I'm hardworking, patient, empathetic, and a good listener. My approach with all my clients have been professional and compassionate, and ensuring where possible that they continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests. I have worked with clients with dementia, stroke, parkinsons, chronic illness and also end of life. The skills required were personal care/grooming, medication, cooking, driving, housekeeping and above all making sure clients were happy and comfortable. My decision to become a carer seemed like a natural progression as I had been taking care of neighbours who found themselves alone since my early twenties.
