I am wanting to branch out of the current position I'm in as a caregiver & become a live-in caregiver. I am hardworking, reliant & very passionate about working with the elderly. I nursed my Uncle who suffered from Schizophrenia & Bi-Polar disorder for nearly 10 until his passing 2022. This never took anything away from my work with Select Care, I would ensure I was close to home & my cousin would stay with Gordy whilst I was at work. It's impossible to sell myself when all I can say is, I love my time with Lorna who is 98 and has so much history to share or my time playing cards with Chookie who has Dementia, or our art lessons, long walks, gardening or doing manicures and pedicures (I'm not a trained beauty therapist, just someone who loves to see someone who can't do their own nails smile). I've had some tough times, with some of the patients refusing medication or hygiene assistance, however, these are obstacles that, with a holistic approach, can easily be overcome with patience. ...
