Hello. My name is Catherine, I’m a carer looking for work on the Channel Islands, but they are not on the list below. I’m English but like in Brittany. I’m looking for PAYE work if possible. I have always worked with the elderly women wanting to stay in their own home . The work I am doing at the moment is with a wonderful 94yr old, in a wheelchair. I’ve been with her for 4 years but it’s getting too expensive for me to carry on traveling to Maidstone from France. I was with her throughout both lockdowns of 7 months and 6 months with no break. I’m happy to work days or nights, as I’m a night owl. I do most things around the house as I treat their homes as I would, my own. I love animals and music and movies and of course, the soaps. Lol. I can drive but haven’t been to the Channel Islands so dont know my way around. I’ve always cared for children, animals, and the elderly women. There’s only 2 things I can think of that I don’t go near….anything to do with fish unless they are happily swimming around in a bowl, and heavy drinkers. I can’t cope with drunkenness. I can do whatever hours or days or weeks that fit in with other carers as I live alone so don’t have ties. ...
