I am 49 years old with over 30 years of care work experience. I began my career as a carer at the age of 17 and over the years have had the privilege of caring/assisting people of all age groups varying from complex needs physically and mentally. Most of my career has been within the NHS as a front line emergency medic and I have had a change of lifestyle as I know my love is dealing with everyday challenges that face everyday life for all, Ido this with great enthusiasm as I believe in the after care of the individual is as vital an necessary to continue to live according to the ability to the needy and also their `right` to do so. I have a love for nature, gardening, cooking, many different crafts, music, reading and love meeting the elderly . I previously lived in Devon and was working with Southwestern Ambulance Service NHS as a front line medic so I know all regions in the southwest very well. I registered as a self employed live in carer in September in 2016 and have supported various clients within their own home including end of life care. ...

Dear Prospective Employer About this time last year I had just come home from completing a two week placement where I spent Christmas and New Year with R (94, vascular dementia/risk of falls) and her son S (autism/ challenging behaviour) and I just wanted to say that I had the best time with them. They as a mother and son couple were my first live-in care experience and I stayed with them for over a year on a two week on/two week off basis, and only left due to my personal circumstances changing and I was very sad to leave. I am qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Adults) and have extensive care experience in a number of different roles, over a 20 year period. I started working in the care sector when I was 19, I believe it's my true vocation, and of all the examinations I have sat, by far my favourite was the one that I achieved my NVQ in. I have pursued other interests as well as work in care and I believe my wide range of skills and experiences make me a great candidate for live-in support. I take pride and make a sincere effort to excel in my abilities as a Health & Social Care Worker, and I am happy and willing to learn further into my care practice. In my own time I like to read, put together jigsaw puzzles, and listen to music. I have a passion for the Arts and have pursued different work experiences in those fields. I also like to be out in nature, my picture was taken last summer on my first trip to the Peak District. It was beautiful and I would highly recommend a visit! I also enjoy photography, and as a general rule I stay behind the camera and not in front. I enjoy keeping tidy and clean and can cook some decent English/ European meals. I am learning to cook Asian food, but truly it is an art I have yet to master. I am mostly a pedestrian, sometimes a cyclist, and I love my public transport journeys, which helps because I do like to travel and see new places, so am looking for placements further afield, currently Midland's based. I like to think of myself as a fun, patient, interested and supportive kind of person. I hope I have been able to give you a positive impression of myself thus far, you are very welcome to contact me for further information. Hope you find a brilliant carer! Many thanks for your time :) Roni x ...
