My role as a Health care assistant, was to assist with the following needs: I assist patients with their personal hygiene with dignity.Patient’s consent and respect were primary.l made sure they were comfortable , calm and were willing to receive any help l offered.l made sure l understand what their needs were and managed to adapt communication using sound, tones and body language. I assisted them with their everyday tasks, like meal preparations ,household chores, doing a shopping list and doing the shopping. I observed, supported and monitored their healthcare needs,such as checking their vital signs and administering medication.The role allowed me to interact and work with other medical health professionals (Doctors,nurses and Therepists) and other needful professional departments to ensure complete support. , ...

My strong interest lies in supporting and caring for those who are vulnerable. In my years of experience, I have worked at a residential care home, I enjoyed caring for people and want to make a difference in their lives. Therefore I believe that if am allowed to work as an HCA it will allow me to fulfil my ambition. While working as a care assistant at Passion Community Health Care, I learned how to interact, and talk to patients with different conditions, concluding the ones who can’t communicate verbally and their families. It’s important to make patients and families feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable as much as possible. I also learned that a patient's mood changes as they go through different stages emotionally, and it's important for health care professionals to help them cope with their situation. ...
