My Care Experience
I have worked as a domiciliary care attendant and I have been working as a live-in Carer since September 2014 returning regularly to clients. I have completed bookings providing palliative care and Dementia care. I also have experience with Parkinson’s, limited mobility, helping provide personal care, companionship and help around the home. I enjoy long bookings so that I can build up a rapport with my clients but equally I am also happy with shorter term bookings. I fit in with my client’s needs and know the importance of when a client wants to enjoy some quiet time and their own company – I aim not to be intrusive and to always allow my client to enjoy their home as they wish.
Driving whilst with my Client
I have a full, clean driving licence. I do not have my own car. I am happy to drive my client's car both manual and automatic
Cooking skills
I enjoy cooking healthy, nutritious meals. I will cater for my client’s needs, and I enjoy trying new recipes. I tend to make quite traditional dishes such as casseroles, and chicken or salmon with veg or salad. I do not eat red meat but I am happy to cook it for clients.
Caring for pets
I love animals and am more than happy to feed your pets and walk your dogs.
My Care Training
I aim to update training regularly, last doing so in November 2025. This included Moving and Handling Theory and practical, Resuscitation Adults levels 1 and 2, Health and Safety, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults level 1 and 2, Infection Prevention and Control, Equality and Diversity, Information Governance, NHS conflict Resolution and the Mental Capacity Act, as well as Medication Awareness training. In the past I have completed Dementia Awareness, Food Hygiene and Wound Care.

Testimonials
"Helen is an unassuming person, but this gentleness hides a strong personality which she exhibits in the work situation. She is helpful, cheerful, imaginative and hard working. She manages to be efficient without being intrusive, a rare gift."
“Helen was excellent, she fitted in perfectly and my mother loved her. She was kind, caring, considerate and made an effort to engage my mother in the things she was interested in. We trusted her completely and it is fair to say that I was extremely fortunate to find someone like her, she made managing the end of my mother’s life much easier than it could have been and I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.”
“I want to thank you for making my mother and father very happy in your care”
“Helen provided excellent care for mum, we were all very impressed with her and would definitely welcome her back to look after Mum at any time.
Thank you for her excellent recommendation”
