This year my mother had a stroke and I was fortunately in a position to help care for her and support her recovery. Previous to that, I had experience supporting elderly monks, as a personal attendant, when I was a junior monk in-training in Thailand. I have also lived with and supported my grandfather, who lived until 103 and had dementia in the final years of his life. My specific care experience includes; meal preparation, cleaning, following general instructions, helping with travel, companionship, making diet and exercise plans and helping prepare plans for the days ahead.
