I am a very young fit 61 year old I have 3 grown up children and nursed my lovely mum through 10 years of Parkinson’s disease and dementia starting when I was 26. On the back of this I went on to run a company for 27 years which visited care homes, nursing homes and day care centres. This was a wonderful service which gave everyone involved a massive amount of pleasure. Unfortunately the business closed during the covid pandemic as we were unable to visit the homes for around 2 years. I am a qualified aerobics instructor with an additional qualification for exercise with the elderly and many years of experience doing this. I have been taking a few years out to travel and enjoy not working full time but am missing spending time with people who are at a stage in their life where they need a bit of help. I loved to see everyone smiling and having fun during my sessions with them and although I have done various types of work over the last 5 years, for me nothing compares with caring.
