I have worked in care all my life and the reason this job appealed to me is that it is working with a lady with Alzheimer’s. Last year i started to have slight problems with my memory and was referred to the dementia clinic but it turns out i have a neurological condition called brain ischemia that caused my symptoms that are now under control and will stay that way but the job touched a nerve and i feel it would be interesting and fulfilling. I have 40 years of experience in care ranging from Elderly to Mental Health and i have run a care home and managed budgets and any problems that arose appropriately. I am a fun outgoing person who has also ran her own home and taken care of her children and grandchildren and various pets along the way. I am always up for a challenge and i feel this job would be suitable for my skill set and would welcome the opportunity to be able to show you.
