With over 30 years of experience in residential, domiciliary, and live‑in care roles, I have developed a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Following a recent period caring for a family member, I am now available to start immediately and am keen to continue providing compassionate care to those who need it most.
Throughout my career, including my most recent six years as a Live‑In Carer, I have supported elderly clients with a wide range of needs such as dementia, mobility challenges, personal care, medication prompting, meal preparation, and household duties. I pride myself on creating a safe, comfortable, and trusting environment where clients feel respected and fully supported. My background also includes significant experience as a Domiciliary Carer, Support Worker, and Healthcare Assistant, which has strengthened my ability to adapt to varied care settings and individual needs.
I bring a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to every role. My strengths include excellent communication, active listening, reliability, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues alike. I am fully trained in safeguarding, manual handling, and infection control, and hold multiple Level 2 qualifications in Health and Social Care, including the Dementia Pathway.
In addition to my professional experience, I am someone who values meaningful connection and compassionate support. I enjoy activities such as countryside walks, gardening, reading, and volunteering at local food banks—interests that often help me engage with clients and support their emotional wellbeing.
