I have over 25 years experience in social care ,working in a variety of settings supporting people ,with physical disabilities, learning difficulties ,mental health issues ,addiction issues and homelessness ,for a number of years i supported adults to lead a full an independent life in their own homes and the community ,my duties included ,shopping ,cooking ,personal care, showering ,dressing ,medication and supporting the person to doctors/ hospital appointments social events and college . I have been trained in moving and handling ,using hoists and other aids. For the last 15 years i have worked with Glasgow city council social work services in a homeless residential project for 16 to 21 year olds preparing them to eventually move into their own homes ,i support with budgeting ,shopping ,cooking and housekeeping . At this stage of my life and career i am looking for new challenge ,i am a hard working ,honest ,reliable individual who works well under pressure.
