I am a trained occupational therapist presently working and residing in South Africa, but do not want to have to pass exams or registrations to work as an occupational therapist in the UK. I have worked with a wide range of patients, including stroke, brain injury, cancer, dementia, fractures, paraplegics, mental illness, children, etc.
I would like to do part-time work caring for people in their homes. I am kind, compassionate, caring, strong-willed, honest, and not afraid of hard work. I recently lost my Mom, whom I cared for over the last 7 years as she had dementia and needed 24-hour care. Although I did not care for her on my own, I had to manage the carers and her home.
