I am a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist currently based in South Africa, seeking part-time work as a home carer in the UK. While I am not looking to practise as an occupational therapist in the UK, I bring over 30 years of healthcare experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, including stroke, brain injury, cancer, dementia, fractures, joint replacements, paraplegia, mental illness, and paediatrics.

I am kind, compassionate, reliable, and hard-working, with strong organisational skills and a calm, supportive manner. Most recently, I provided and coordinated 24-hour care for my mother during her seven-year journey with dementia, overseeing a team of carers and managing her household. This experience has deepened my understanding of the emotional and practical demands of long-term home care.

I am eager to contribute my hands-on care skills, empathy, and dedication to enhancing the comfort and quality of life of those I support.
