I’m currently a self employed carer and have been for nearly 7 years. I have many years of care experience having worked in various settings which include 10 yrs within the NHS. I’m 62 yrs old but still have a lot to offer. Self employment is financially good but there are also a few pitfalls. I would much prefer to have the guarantee of regular work and income, the nature of the job and being self employed isn’t always conducive. I have no dependents at home so I feel I can commit to live-in care.
