My name is Viktoria, and I hold an undergraduate degree in Physiology and Biomechanics as well as a postgraduate qualification in Nutrition. I am seeking a role where I can apply my skills to help someone rehabilitate post-operatively or provide comprehensive care and support.
I strongly believe that care should always be delivered with the utmost respect and dignity, treating others as we would wish to be treated ourselves. I am empathetic, disciplined, caring, supportive, empowering, and kind, with a deep commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of those in my care.
My experience includes working in a private elderly care home and supporting younger individuals with mobility challenges, such as wheelchair users. I am proficient in performing essential care tasks, including personal care, rehabilitation assistance, and household duties.
As a former strength athlete, I have the physical capability to assist with lifting and mobility support. This strength, combined with my knowledge, proved invaluable when I cared for my 74-year-old mother, who was diagnosed with cancer in early 2024. I moved in full-time for eight months to manage her care, medications, diet, and recovery. Through dedication and tailored support, I successfully guided her to full recovery.
I offer live-in care services that include:
- Meal planning, preparation and feeding
- Comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities, spinal trauma, and / or post-operative needs
- Assistance with muscular rehabilitation, including the use of hoists, Sara Stedy, wheelchairs, and catheters
- Medication administration and personal care
- Companionship and emotional support
- Help with daily chores and transportation to appointments.
