7 years experience of working in care/nursing homes. 2 year experience of working in a hospital. I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a HCA/Support worker, it's been very challenging and emotionally at times but very rewarding. My main qualification/degree is in Performing Arts, while at university I got into care work, ever since then I have been working very hard and have felt that this is best suited to my nature as I am a caring and helpful person who loves to make a difference. In the 9 years I have worked with children, adults with disabilities, the elderly, worked on a rehab ward, worked with special needs people. Have done support work, where I have cooked, cleaned, reminded clients of upcoming appointments, prompted medication, taken clients out for grocery shopping etc. In care/nursing homes/hospitals I have done personal care, moving and handling, peg feeds, assisted feeds, grooming. I always like to make sure that my clients are well looked after.
