I have spent most of my life taking care of others predominantly as a nanny looking after children from birth to 5/ 6 years.
During the pandemic I spent 3 months working in a residential care home looking after ladies with dementia with varying levels of care and although this was a short term position I believe the challenging circumstances such as our ladies not being able to have visitors or leave the home I feel it equipped me for a longer term role.
I did find working with dementia patients challenging and I feel I would be a better candidate for non dementia patients.
I'm currently living in Kent with a family as a live-in helper as an unpaid role. This was intended to be temporary but I've been here over a year and I feel it's time for me to move on after the Summer.
I'm happy to relocate but would prefer to remain close to the sea when this is possible.
