Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I began my care work career 15 years ago and have since experienced an unmatched level of professional fulfilment and job satisfaction, in that you are making a difference in the lives of people when they need compassion, empathy and support the most.

From mid 2022 until early January 2024, I was working privately as the lead and primary carer for a wonderful lady and her family however, this sadly ended as the lady became in need of full nursing care due to significantly deteriorating health.

I can provide an excellent reference from the family.

I am currently on a fixed short term private care placement in Scotland and this family will provide a further reference.

I am mindful that I am in another person's home and, on the most personal basis, ensuring the utmost respect and dignity. I am thorough, meticulous and conscientious.

I feel it is most important to also help promote as much independence as possible. I strive for excellence at all times.

I am comfortable in remote locations, which has often been the case. I am a competent driver with a clean driving licence and have my own car. I am happy to drive another car if provided.

I was privileged to look after both of my parents, unfortunately with all-encompassing vascular dementia and other co-morbidities.

I thoroughly enjoy my work and always endeavour to make a difference in the lives of the people I work with and, provide full assurance and peace of mind to their families. .

I also possess a very strong administrative and secretarial background having previously worked in PA and executive roles, for example with Cunard and Lancashire Constabulary.

I have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS and PVG to also work in Scotland.

I am an avid animal lover and experienced with dogs, horses and cattle, I also thoroughly enjoy the countryside and wildlife. I am well-travelled, happy to engage in all manner of conversation and the hobbies of whomever I may be working with.

I have never contracted Covid and I continue testing.
