I am applying for the post support worker/ health care assistant because I enjoyed care for people. I love working with young people and adults must especially learning with disabilities people and mental illness as I find the job rewarding, fun and challenging.
Growing up, my interest in healthcare was influenced by my regular delivery of lunch to my dad in the hospital where he was a registered nurse. There, I was opportune to ask his colleagues few healthcare related questions at their break times and conversations with them exposed me to the nitty-gritty of the profession which includes but not limited to qualities of healthcare professionals such as compassion, empathy, communication, accountability, etc and, benefits of person-centred care in provision of quality care.
