Hi, My name is Laura, I'm 35, live in Brighton and have a car.
I'm a passionate gardener, and I love to cook. I’m currently curating a growing space at my local community pub near London Road Station. I'm a meat eater, but I was vegetarian for many years and can very happily adapt my diet if need be. I have a hobby level interest in herbalism, nutrition and gut health. Quite comfortable with any level of cooking that might be needed.
I’m pretty laid back and sociable, I am good at making friends quickly and can find fun in most activities. I like to read, embroider, make clothes and ferment things. Very happy to help manage pets. I like to spend as much time as I can in the woods and on walks.
I've cared for my grandmother who had dementia for the last 7 years of her life and have lived with my long term partner with MS until very recently. I live alone now, and am looking for a fulfilling job role that allows me to care for someone on a deeper, more impactive level than my professional background which is hospitality management. Guest care is my specialty in restaurant management, but I would like to use my time in a more beneficial way than just at meal times in a restaurant. I come with a very can-do attitude to most things. Can clean and cook to a good quality level, and have basic first aid and health and safety training. I'm also pretty good at basic household mending (woodwork, pipes, painting and decorating) and am not work shy. I’d like to think I'm pretty good company but that's for you to judge!
I have a great community of friends and family around me in Brighton, but do not have any dependables or commitments that could take me away, at present, from your needs, and can be super flexible.
Available to start immediately.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
