I have been a carer for five years. I have worked with a wide range of client groups including
Motor- neuron, Dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. I also have experience as a
rehabilitation assistant of clients with acquired brain injury, Tetraplegia and all kinds of phys-
ical disabilities and I am up to date with all my training. I have training in moving and han-
dling, health and safety, first aid, administration of medication and controlled drugs, the dig-
nity of the dying, stoma, catheter and PEG feeding. I prefer working long hour shifts 8 to 12
hours. I am happy to work with clients who have pets as long as they are friendly and clean.
