Hi My name is Gary and I am originally from Scotland, although I now work with clients all over the UK. After working for 12 years as a mental health support worker, I decided to broaden my horizons within the social care sector and for the past 7 years have worked as a live-in carer. I work in a person-centred way with a broad range of clients and conditions, including: dementia, Parkinson's, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental illness, palliative care and end of life care. I provide practical and emotional support to help people live a safe and independent life in their own home and community. This includes medication administration, personal care, continence care, moving and handling using hoists and other aids, cooking, cleaning and of course companionship. I am also happy to support clients to go on holiday at home or abroad (I have a wide experience of travel all over the world) I am also an animal lover, so pets are no problem. I have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, as well as a care certificate. I have my own carer liability insurance and I am fully vaccinated, including boosters. Hello how are you,Im a hard working individual with experience in live in care work for 5 months along with about three months home care,I worked taking care of a lovely lady who had dementia at my most recent post,I had to leave due to relocating from Scotland to here in England.I used to be responsible for her personal hygiene,keeping the house clean,preparing and serving her food,medication administering,taking her out for walks,lunches and social activities as well as to visit her husband at the care home.I also helped with basic grocery top ups as we would do the big shopping with her son,I overall provided companionship and had to be up at night at times so such working conditions would not be a problem,Im happy to share my hsg course care certificates as well that I completed .I also worked as a cleaner so keeping the environment clean wouldn’t be an issue,as well as communicating and creating a safe space for my client as I also have experience in customer care as I acquired that skill when I worked in a cafe.I try my best to deliver satisfactory services abd Im always open to learning and I adapt to new environments quickly , assure you you won’t regret hiring me. ...
