In my previous role as a healthcare assistant I supported patients with learning disabilities and mental health problems with their day to day activities. I also assisted them with their personal care, washing and dressing in a dignified and respectful way, by giving them a choice of what clothes and time they would want to get up. I enjoyed taking them out for their daily activities out and cooking their favourite meals. At times I would also clean if needed and give them medication when required.
