Besides having qualities such as compassion, kindness, patience and empathy, I believe my suitability for the post is also evidenced by my training and experience in the field of science, education and personal care. Having been originally trained as a science teacher, my understanding of the physiology and functions of the human body are not rudimentary but are supported by my passion for Biology and in the practice of taking care of people. I have volunteered as a carer for little babies and children of all ages and also looked after senior citizens who are incapacitated through illness. One example was when I provided care for about 18 months to an adult male patient who was immobilized due to a stroke.
