I recently did a health and social care course level 3 where I maintained a grade C. Within gaining this qualification I did work experience in a care home. I was surrounded by people of all ages and with all types of needs, ranging from dementia to Parkinson’s to people that had come for restpite care. Unfortunately at the time I couldn’t provide manual care except for assisting with meals and speaking to the residents but even so I found it extremely rewarding and would love to learn how to provide the specific care this gentleman will need.
