As a health care professional aspiring to become a registered nurse, I have started my experience with knowledge of the nursing and midwifery code and nursing standards of proficiency. This academic knowledge has molded me into a safe, effective, and caring practitioner ensuring the needs of the people I care for are continuously assessed for and met. My experience as a HCA, student nurse, and various other roles in customer service has enabled me to hone in my communication skills, professionalism, and rapport with the people I work with. Working effectively with the clients/residents, family, and multi-disciplinary team has ensured the best, evidence- based care for each individual.
