I'm a 41 year old male, British national. Formerly a food retail company Managing Director but currently changing carers and teaching myself computer programming from home.
I have a lifetime experience of caring for my brother who required 24hr care. This has included full-time for up to six months as his sole carer and also just casually as a brother or filling in in-between full time live-in carers.
This experience has helped me really understand not only the job but also the emotional side of care and the importance of doing the job well and with empathy. And importantly being able to have fun with it!
