As a carer I have experience of working with different clients.
My typical day as a live in carer includes supporting the customer with a range of different tasks throughout the day both within their home and outside of it.Assisting and encouraging the client to maintain their independence at the comfort of their own environment.
This may involve :
1)Companionship sharing conversations and spending time together example to the customers interest .Administering or assisting to remind the client with medication according to the customer's care plan .
2)Personal Care assisting with bathing,dressing and when necessary continence care .
3)Helping with mobility some customers may need assistance getting around the home , to attend activities or appointments
4)Preparing or cooking meals
5)Running errands assisting with shopping,picking prescriptions and maintaining a tidy and clean environment for the customer.
