Kind, capable, understanding, supportive and unquestionably ensure the clients best interests. Invaluable experience sadly gained from years of caring for, supporting,, looking after, doing all for my Dad who had extreme Challenging Behavior, Lewie Bodies Dementia and multiple complex issues. Then the most wonderful person ever, my mum who has now passed away.. In 2007 I moved to be next door to my parents, hence I have complete knowledge of all care and support needed. I am told i can be quite humorous and have a talent for communicating well with all, regardless of their condition/illness.
I have a DBS, albeit old, so will apply for a new Enhanced one. I intend to gain appropriate qualifications, however It is unlikely many will have my knowledge and understanding of the individual illness of Dementia given all the experience's of caring for many years for my Dad.
