I am very people-oriented and compassionate. I have personal experience of disabilities and living with people with mental and/or physical illness. I have worked as a music teacher with a special interest in therapeutic uses of music to promote health and wellbeing assisting organisations such as Disability Stockport to provide fun and accessible music sessions, a sense of humanity in relationship, and accomplishment in their achievements. I am passionate about making life enjoyable and accessible for those who have disabilities. I see care as providing companionship as well as practical help. I've done many years of volunteering with befriending organisations to support the most isolated and restore their sense of humanity and worth.
