I currently work in Education but have also spent the last 3 years helping to care for a lady with advanced Parkinson’s in her own home in Stockport. The lady sadly died in March so I am looking for another home care opportunity.
I am an experienced PA but also have worked in care home management for Manchester City Council. I much prefer working with a client in their own home. It’s more personal, relaxing and familiar. The lady I cared for spent many happy hours in her garden or reading in her conservatory. She liked to go shopping when she was well enough. We had a close, trusting and happy working relationship. I assisted with all aspects of personal care, including the use of a rotating movement device and reclining wheelchair. I would very much like to continue this work in a similar role.
