To whom it may concern
As a skilled and enthusiastic home-based caregiver, I am pleased to submit the enclosed resume
for your review. My passion and desire to help and take care of the sick and disabled in our societies
and the world at large positions me to significantly impact your institution.
My journey as a caregiver began when I looked after my beloved grandfather shortly before his
passing. The joy and pleasure I got from looking after him was an eye-opening experience for me. I
had been given a chance to do something that made a difference in another person’s life. I got to
look at life from a different angle and appreciated it much more.
I was an English Language Teacher for over 8 years and during that time got to interact with the
a rural community in Zimbabwe getting to know how they lived and dealt with the sick and disabled in
the community. I also got the chance to interact with and assist students infected and affected with H.I. V
and AIDS through conducting of workshops with Non-Governmental Organizations like PAMUHACHA
which assisted the girl child through payment of fees and buying of uniforms and other accessories
required by the girl child.
I also got the chance to work at Bluffhill Medical Centre as a volunteer nurse’s assistant for a year
and my primary duties included recording patient’s details upon arrival at the medical center, assisting
in cleaning and dressing of wounds, supporting patients with mobility problems, and general cleaning of the medical facility, taking urine samples and vital signs, bathing, dressing, cooking, and booking of
patient’s appointments with the doctor If you do accept me, I promise to be as professional as can
be and conduct myself in a manner worthy of applause and admiration. Make sure that patients
are comfortable and happy will be my primary goals.
Sincerely,
Tinashe Zimvumi
