My experience in the health care includes looking after my family members who were terminally ill. My stepfather was bedridden from cancer, TB, and other opportunistic infections. I single-handedly bathed him, clothed him, fed him, assisted him to take his medication, cleaned and dressed his wounds, took him to Hospital for his doctor’s visits. The Hospitals refused to admit him, and no family member assisted as they were afraid to be infected. All this l did without training in Health Care. His room was always clean including his clothes. I prepared health diet for him even if l could see he was dying. My mother-in-law had stroke that left her bedridden, I looked after her together with the home care worker. I monitored the work of the care worker to ensure my mother in-law took her medication and ate well.
