I am a mature, ex-South African, a mother and grandmother, currently residing in Guildford, Surrey, UK.
I am a qualified live-in carer, with over 12 years’ experience across the UK. I have trained and worked with dementia (vascular, Lewy Bodies, Alzheimer's), Motor Neurone Disease, End of Life, Parkinson’s, brain injury, mobility complications, stroke. I am able to use most forms of equipment, and am trained in manual handling.
I work in a dedicated and honest way, I have strong record keeping and communication skills and am able to work with multi-disciplinary teams, with medication, and am able to take the initiative, in the best interests of my client/s. I have the ability to work alone and enjoy rural settings.
I cook nutritious meals, I enjoy various crafts, diamond painting, beading etc. I have the ability to be discreet and the patient. I prefer long-term placements, so that I have the benefit of providing person centred care that suits the individual. I have references, which I can forward if requested.
